Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition

The complete Night City experience surviving on a handheld is an achievement. Its excellent writing and dense role-playing arrive with graphic violence, explicit sexual content, nudity, drugs, and relentless language.

General 8.9Family 2.0

The review

Cyberpunk 2077 is at its best in the spaces between its billboards and firefights: a tense conversation in a parked car, a job that changes shape after one bad decision, or a character who keeps calling long after the quest marker disappears. Its city is spectacular because so many human-scale stories survive inside it.

The Ultimate Edition is an impressive technical fit for Switch 2. Portability suits its long conversations and side jobs, even if the busiest streets and sharpest image quality belong on more powerful hardware. The important achievement is that the role-playing structure arrives intact.

There is no ambiguity in the family recommendation. This is an M-rated adult game with graphic dismemberment, gore, explicit sex and nudity, strong language, and drug and alcohol use. A family score of 2 does not mean the game lacks merit; it means parental controls should do exactly what they are for.

The family check

Not appropriate for children. Mature content is explicit, frequent, and woven throughout the main world and story. Reserve it for adults or mature players 17+ after a direct conversation.

  • Violence: Graphic gunfire, dismemberment, exposed organs, torture imagery, and gore.
  • Sexual content: Explicit sex scenes, full nudity, sexual advertising, and genital customization.
  • Language: Frequent strong profanity.
  • Substances: Drug use and alcohol are repeatedly shown and discussed.
