Nintendo has official Zelda pages for a 2026 Switch 2 release of Ocarina of Time. That title can be discussed as a real product because readers can follow the claim back to Nintendo. The same trail does not exist for new Switch 2 releases of The Wind Waker HD or Twilight Princess HD.
Those ports have been predicted for years. The prediction is attractive: both games already received HD editions on Wii U, the platform had a small audience, and Nintendo regularly revisits Zelda. None of those facts is a release announcement.
Repetition is not evidence
Anniversary speculation can be enjoyable opinion and discussion. It should not become the missing Nintendo source. The same is true of leaker track records, retailer placeholders, podcast guesses, and another outlet reporting that people are talking about the rumor.
